I have passion for capturing candid moments and also for highly produce images that convey a sense of time. My business is independent and offers an entirely portable full-studio setup with in-house printing. Citizen Attila Photography is a complete photo service, offering professional on-location photography in Ottawa.

My interest in optics began very early in life; at eleven months of age I was given my first pair of glasses and thus began my fascination with light and vision. At ten years old my father, also a professional photographer, gave me my first film, point-and-shoot camera. I didn't really spend much time behind the lens until I was about nineteen years old though. Serving as a medic in the Canadian Armed Forces, I had a lot of downtime. I needed something to keep me sharp, so I asked my father if I could borrow his Nikon FE (a film SLR-camera from the 80's). That was when I finally starting getting the itch to go beyond just taking snap shots. Learning to use that amazingly simple, yet elegantly complex machine is what finally ignited my passion.   

These days my artistic pursuit is in playing with multiple scales of time; creating unique light paintings. These combinations of different types of light with longer exposures create organic holographic shapes that can be tailored to show a variety of conventional images or geometry in new and interesting ways.
